Editorial Guidelines

Last updated: November 8, 2026

These guidelines explain how ByteLeaks chooses, writes, sources and corrects its stories.

1. What we cover

We publish news about technology: hardware, mobile devices, AI and software, gaming, cybersecurity and the technology industry. We choose stories that are new, verifiable and useful to our readers.

2. Sources and attribution

  • Every article is based on identifiable sources: official announcements, regulatory filings, security advisories, company statements, or reporting by established news organizations.
  • Statements and claims are attributed to the people, companies, researchers or documents they come from.
  • We do not copy other publications’ articles. We write our own text and add context and analysis. Direct quotes are short and attributed to the person or company who said them.

3. Rumors and leaks

Some technology news is based on unconfirmed information such as supply-chain reports or benchmark listings. When a story is not officially confirmed, the article says so clearly, using wording such as “reportedly” or “according to”, and explains where the information comes from. We do not present speculation as fact.

4. Headlines

Headlines must reflect what the article actually says. We avoid misleading or exaggerated headlines.

5. Images

Images may come from company press materials, product pages or other publications covering the same news. If you are a rights holder and want an image removed or credited, contact us and we will act promptly.

6. Corrections

If an article contains an error, we correct it as quickly as possible. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article. To report an error, email info@byteleaks.com with the article link.

7. Independence and advertising

ByteLeaks may display advertising, including ads served by Google. Advertisers have no influence over what we cover or how. We do not publish paid content disguised as news; if we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled.
