About ByteLeaks

ByteLeaks is an independent, English-language technology news site. We cover the stories that shape the devices, software and networks people use every day: new hardware and chips, phones and gadgets, artificial intelligence, gaming, cybersecurity and the business of the tech industry.

What we publish

  • Hardware & Leaks – CPUs, GPUs, PCs, components and credible pre-release reports.
  • Mobile & Gadgets – smartphones, wearables, tablets and consumer electronics.
  • AI & Software – AI models and products, operating systems, apps and developer tools.
  • Gaming & Consoles – consoles, PC gaming hardware and major game industry news.
  • Cybersecurity – vulnerabilities, data breaches, security updates and privacy.
  • Tech Industry & Markets – company news, regulation, deals and market moves.

How our stories are made

ByteLeaks follows major technology publications, official company announcements and security advisories around the clock. When a story breaks, we write our own article that explains what happened, adds background and context, and points out what it means for readers. Our stories are based on official announcements, company statements, regulatory filings, security research and reporting from established technology publications.

Every story goes through the same standards for accuracy, clarity and fairness, described in our Editorial Guidelines.

Our editor

Kayra Demir is the founder and editor of ByteLeaks and a freelance investigative journalist specializing in technology. He brings two kinds of training to every story: engineering and journalism.

  • Software engineering: four-year bachelor’s degree at Yıldız Technical University, followed by a master’s degree.
  • Journalism: four-year degree in journalism from Istanbul University.
  • Beat: semiconductors and PC hardware, smartphones and consumer devices, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the tech industry.

His engineering background means he can work through spec sheets, benchmark data, security advisories and code, not just press releases. His journalism training shapes how that material becomes a story: verified, clearly attributed and written for readers rather than for insiders. As editor, Kayra sets ByteLeaks’ editorial standards, decides what the site covers and handles corrections and reader feedback.

Read all of Kayra’s stories on his author page, or reach him at info@byteleaks.com.

Our principles

  • Accuracy first. We only report what our sources support, and we attribute claims to the companies, people or documents they come from.
  • Clear labels. Rumors and unconfirmed reports are described as such, never as fact.
  • Corrections. When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change.
  • Independence. No company pays for coverage on ByteLeaks. Advertising is kept separate from editorial content.
